In Dubai, a robot helped doctors replace the knee joint patient
The robotic system helped the surgeon perform a unique operation to replace the knee joint.

The innovative successful surgical operation involving a robotic system on the knee joint was held in Dubai this month.

The man became one of two patients who underwent partial / full replacement of the knee with the Navio surgical system at the Mediclinic City Hospital.

The Navio system based on artificial intelligence (AI) helps to perform full and partial replacement of the joint, providing accuracy.

The use of a robotic assisting hand allows the surgeon to plan accurately the operation on-line, place implants and reduce the risk of errors during the procedure, while reducing the time that the patient requires for recovery.

The man, getting a knee injury during a game of football more than two years ago, could move for several hours after a two-hour operation, and is expected to be fully restored.
