Thousands of new opportunities for getting a job in the UAE

The UAE government cares about the well-being of its citizens, as well as foreign guests and workers, developing new programs to ensure their happy life in the UAE.

1. The UAE introduced a new program “100 days for emiratisation in three areas” (for UAE citizens).
2. The UAE has developed a new guidebook that explains the rights and duties of foreign workers in the UAE.

Consider these programs in more detail.

1. The purpose of the program “100 days for emiratisation in three areas” is to create jobs for UAE citizens in the aviation, construction, telecommunication and transport industries.

At present, these industries account for more than 28 percent of the UAE’s gross domestic product.

There are 12 important sectors in the country’s economy, six of which make up a huge share of GDP and provide a large number of high-paying jobs. Nearly 300,000 new jobs will be created for UAE citizens in the near future.

“It is expected that about 200 thousand UAE citizens will enter the labor market in the next half-year,” Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, declared.

Mr. Al Hamli noted that the Ministry is working on the program “Club of Emiratisation Supporters”, under which duties for the extension of work permits have been reduced. The minister also added that the company, in which staff more than 3% of UAE citizens work, belongs to the platinum category. The fee for issuing a work permit for such companies is not 3000 dirhams, but just 300 dirhams.

The Minister stressed the importance of a dialogue between the authorities and the population to understand the needs of citizens.

The Ministry takes care of regular meetings with citizens in order to learn the people’s opinion about the services provided by the ministry and provide citizens with all opportunities for employment.

2. More than 100,000 workers in the UAE will receive a new guidebook that will explain to them their rights and responsibilities.

The Directorate General for Residency and International Affairs issued a guidebook for foreign workers in the United Arab Emirates, from which they learn about their rights, duties and local culture. During the year 100 thousand copies of the edition will be distributed.

So, each worker will receive a guidebook, which will help him avoid problems and improve the conditions of his stay in the country and to become happier.
In addition, the workers will undergo special educational master classes – when applying for a resident visa or when updating it.

The guide is available in three languages – Arabic, English and Urdu.
