TOP3 news of the week from the UAE

  1. The famous Eye of the Emirates wheel changed its location– after 13 years of “work” on the Al Qasba quay in Sharjah, it moved to the amusement park Al Montazah, opened last year. This was reported in the Office for Investment and Development of Sharjah (Shurooq).

The most famous attraction of Sharjah will begin to receive guests as soon as the park is completed, including the water park.

  1. The cinemas of the operator VOX Cinemas will be open around the clock on weekends until the end of the summer.

This announcement caused positive emotions at movie lovers wishing to attend night sessions or, conversely, the earliest.

24-hour cinema viewing will be organized in some shopping centers, such as: Mall of the Emirates, City Center Deira and City Center Mirdif.

There will be no films for children, including cartoons among the night sessions.

Night sessions will be held every Thursday and Friday, starting from July 12 till the end of August.

  1. Self-service stations, aiming to teach residents to independently pour gasoline into the petrol tanks of their cars are opened at the shopping centers of the United Arab Emirates.

Residents of the northern emirates, who want to learn how to refuel their cars, can now do this in shopping centers. Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) launched a temporary station in Sahara Center in the emirate of Sharjah and another in Al Manar Mall in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. Earlier such kiosks were opened in Marina Mall and Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi.

“The goal is to interact with the community, identify problems, explain and answer any questions,” said a representative for Adnoc.

From June 30, motorists in Abu Dhabi have to pay an additional 10 dirhams ($ US 2.7) if they want the filling station staff to fill fuel at Adnoc stations. Previously, this service was free.

At temporary stations in shopping malls, residents can also register for “smart beacons”. This will make the refueling faster and easier. Over 140,000 such beacons have been installed throughout the country.
