The top officials of the three countries: the United Arab Emirates, the United States and Saudi Arabia, will meet in Washington to discuss the “Iranian issue.”
The day before it was announced the creation of a tripartite commission, which will include the United States, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. The commission’s activities will be aimed at combating the destabilizing policy of Iran.
According to the official statement of representatives of the administration of Donald Trump, this commission will be organized during the visit of the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman.
Members of the committee will meet regularly to discuss tactics and mechanisms for achieving mutual interests. The primary task for the new group is to confront Iran.
Most likely, before the departure of Prince Mohammed from Washington, the authorities of Saudi Arabia and the US will make an official statement on this issue. Undoubtedly, representatives of three countries will be involved in the establishment of the committee.
UAE National Security Advisor Sheikh Takhnun bin Zayed Al Nahyan will arrive in Washington at the end of the week.
It should be noted that the creation of the tripartite commission was the result of numerous meetings of the authorities of the three countries devoted to the development of a strategy for confronting Iran. The US authorities see the committee as “huge potential”.
US officials say that the Trump administration is still planning to organize a summit for its partners in the Persian Gulf in May, despite the unresolved Qatar issue. In the case that no consensus is reached on the Qatar issue, it is most likely that the central theme of the May summit will be the confrontation of Iran’s aggressive policy.
