A number of new impressive projects, including Aladdin City, Deira Islands Night Souk, will open in the UAE in 2018.

And again, the UAE has something to surprise the world. There are striking designs and long-awaited “miracles” among the projects scheduled for 2018. It is enough to announce just a few to impress anyone: flying taxis, the highest Ferris wheel in the world, and the already opened giant frame-museum and others.

    1. Abu Dhabi’s Reem Central Park

Reem Island in Abu Dhabi will have its own park – and this will be a small city. The open space, which is planned to be presented to the public in 2018, will cover an area of 1,000,000 square feet and will include a mosque for 2,000 believers, restaurants, shops, a skate park and playgrounds for children.

    2. Ain Dubai – World biggest Ferris Wheel (Bluewaters Island)

Ain Dubai (“Eye of Dubai”), the largest in diameter and the tallest Ferris wheel in the world (with height about 210 meters, is of particular interest among the projects being prepared for the opening in 2018.

    3. Deira Islands Night Souk

The area of the new attractive object for tourists and shoppers, working even at night, will be about 600 thousand square meters, which is twice the area of the largest Dubai shopping center The Dubai Mall. The creation of the night market of the souk is included in the large-scale reconstruction project of Deira, which includes 40 km of new promenades and much more. The market will open in late 2018.

    4. The magical “city of Aladdin”.

Complex Aladdin City in Dubai Creek Harbor will benefit with its style in the spirit of the classic, fabulous East, from the usual skyscrapers of Dubai. Three towers in the form of gold “Aladdin lamps” seem small only against the background of ultra-high skyscrapers. Their height will be 34, 26 and 25 floors respectively with hotels, restaurants and shops inside. Parking in the complex can accommodate up to 900 cars.

    5. The world’s highest roof for rock climbing

Extreme sports will soon become even more extreme. CLYMB, an indoor attraction worth Dhs 367 millions will be open on Yas Island, it will beat two world records – the world’s tallest indoor climbing wall, and also the world’s widest flight chamber.

    6. Azizi-Riviera

Azizi Riviera will be represented by 71 residential buildings, two luxury hotels and a new shopping area, sports center, “dancing fountains”, a 4-kilometer promenade, an artificial ski slope, a yacht harbor, gardens, parks, a metro station, cinemas, shops, schools and others.

It is expected that the first stages of the project will be completed by December 2018.

    7. Unmanned aerial taxi

The unmanned Aerial Taxi drone had tests at the end of 2017. The Dubai Road and Transport Authority in cooperation with the German company Volocopter are developing a two-seater unmanned aerial vehicle.
The Dubai Department of Standardization and Metrology stated that they are already developing a set of rules and requirements for a new type of transport. And the company Mercedes-Benz has already invested 25 million euros in Volocopter, a company developing autonomous flying technology for the transport of the future. It is not excluded that it will be possible to buy a villa or rent a penthouse with its own landing pad for flying passenger drones in 2018.

In general, all the new projects planned for implementation in Dubai in 2018 and approved by the government of the emirate, will help to make Dubai the most interesting for tourists and the most advanced and innovative city of the world by 2021. Culture, sports, industry and services – these are the priority areas for which the Municipality will be guided when planning new projects, providing a happy life for people.
